Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of FCC is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads overseas to every nation. FCC members are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as washing the church vehicles, to preparing the church bulletins.
MISSION OUTREACH
First Christian Church is excited about what God is doing around the globe for HIS glory. We currently have several missionaries that we support as well as a host of ministries across the United States. We are looking for servants who would be willing to take not the task of keeping in contact with these missionaries and ministries. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call and to seek out God’s desire for their life, whether it means that they minister to people in their own neighborhood, go on foreign mission trips or move to a foreign country. WORSHIP MINISTRY
Each week we seek to honor the KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS in our worship. We love to involve people in this ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. Others are involved in the choir. Still others get involved in drama. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of First Christian Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God. USHERS
The usher team fills an important part of our service. They are involved in directing attendees to the correct places. They help in distributing the communion and offering plates during our worship. Contact Cheryl at cheryl@fcccleveland.com to join this team.
MEDIA & TECHNOLOGY
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of First Christian Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a responsibility to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website. We also maintain an active FACEBOOK page for additional communication. MARRIAGE MENTORS
Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Currently we are seeking out godly couples who have a strong, God-honoring marriage and would like to spend 8 weeks with another couple that is seeking a mentoring couple to learn from and grow with in Christ. Marriage is under attack today. It is time we are believers take a stand for it. If interested in being a marriage mentor, please contact our Senior Minister, David at david@fcccleveland.com.
PRAYER WARRIORS
Prayer is under-appreciated in the world today. We however, believe it is the heart beat of our ministry. We have prayer-chains. We have groups of men praying each morning of the week. We have prayer walks. We have a prayer list that is updated weekly. We NEED prayer warriors to take on these different areas. Our Leadership team needs individuals praying for them as they confront the front lines of spiritual battle all the while seeking guidance from the Lord. CHILDREN’S SPONSORS
In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, First Christian needs a group of dedicated servants. Firs Christian holds a high priority on preparing the next generation, and we cannot accomplish this without the sacrifice and devotion of willing servants who love both God and HIS children. We recognize that our Children’s workers need support and help due to our friendly children’s servants having an incredible task before them we need help for them and also help to give them their needed breaks. CAMP SPONSORS
Each summer, First Christian attends various weeks of camps for all ages. We attend Sunset Bible Camp (www.sunsetbiblecamp.org). Sunset offers a wonderful experience that stretches our children to grow and live out what God calls them to be. Camp sponsors are selected and given a background check for the safety of all parties involved.
